Swarms of Predators Leave ‘A Quiet Place’ the only Sanctuary in the World

Hot on the heels of taking this year’s South by Southwest Festival by storm, where director John Krasinski’s ‘A Quiet Place’ premiered to unanimous applaud on March 9th. 2018, Paramount Pictures is launching the terror of the swarm on the rest of the theater world this weekend, April 6, 2018.

The riveting intensity of the film is a palpably personal thing for director Krasinski who also co-wrote the screenplay and stars alongside his true-life wife, Emily Blunt. ‘A Quiet Place’ is a scream-a-minute survival tale pitting the survivors against an overwhelmingly monstrous predator that even the terrifying trailer merely hints at to build suspense!

Another device that sets the stage for pulse-pounding viewing is the premise that the creatures hunt by sound so the actors lives can literally hinge on the drop of a pin. For shock value alone this effect forces the audience to participate in the drama juxtaposing the silence of the stalk with the cacophony of the attack.

Local theater listings should lead you straight to an early contender for the most frightening film of the year award! Rated 9.0
