Election Year,’ Creator, writer, and director James DeMonaco at last unveils the beginning of the the Annual Purges.
Starring Y’Lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, Luna Lauren Velez and Marisa Tomei, ‘The First Purge’ witnesses the first test by the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) of the radical sociological experiment for crime reduction. Designed to be tested in a single town, the violence far surpasses both the imagination of the NFFA and the confines of the single community where it was planned. As the bloodshed spreads throughout the night, the survivors awaken to the creation of a frightening new tradition.
The screenplay for this fourth movie in ‘The Purge’ franchise is also being written by DeMonaco although the direction on ‘The First Purge’ is being handled by the capable Gerard McMurray to kick-start the revolution.
