Jon1 replied to the topic "How do you feel about horror remakes? Any you think are better than the original?" – 2 weeks, 3 days ago
I’m not a big fan of remakes. I would rather watch an original story than see the same movie redone. Most remakes just don’t capture the atmosphere that made the original memorable.
Jon1 replied to the topic "Change the ending?" – 2 weeks, 3 days ago
I would change the ending of Smile. I was hoping the main character would finally break the curse, so the ending felt much darker than I wanted.
Jon1 replied to the topic "What's the most horrifying death scene you have seen in a horror movie?" – 2 weeks, 3 days ago
The 2013 Evil Dead remake had some of the hardest death scenes for me to watch. The gore was so intense that a few moments genuinely made me cringe.
Jon1 replied to the topic "Male or Female Hero?" – 2 weeks, 3 days ago
I usually prefer female heroes. They often make the story more interesting, and there’s just something cool and attractive about a strong female lead in a horror movie.
Jon1 replied to the topic "If you were a character in a horror movie…" – 2 weeks, 3 days ago
I’d want to be the character who escapes at the last minute. I definitely wouldn’t want to be the killer or the first person to get caught.
Asaba replied to the topic "Scary Stories to tell" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
I’ve always found the “Bloody Mary” legend creepy. Even though it’s just a story, it’s the kind of idea that works really well in a horror film.
Asaba replied to the topic "Blade" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
I loved Blade, especially Wesley Snipes’ performance. He’s still my favorite version of the character, and seeing him return in Deadpool & Wolverine was a brilliant surprise that brought back a lot of nostalgia.
Asaba replied to the topic "Least interesting horror movies you've seen?" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
For me, The Open House was a letdown. It started with promise, but the ending felt unsatisfying, and I finished it wishing it had done more.
Asaba replied to the topic "Horror Podcasts?" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
I don’t listen to many, but The NoSleep Podcast is one I would recommend. It’s been a favorite whenever I’m in the mood for creepy stories.
Asaba replied to the topic "Death and movies" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Horror movies don’t really make me think about dying. I see them as entertainment, though they do remind me to appreciate life and make the most of every day.
Asaba replied to the topic "Should nudity be in a horror film?" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Not really. If it fits the story, that’s fine, but I don’t think nudity is necessary for a horror movie to be scary or enjoyable.
Asaba replied to the topic "Vampires or Werewolves?" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
I’m going to choose werewolf movies. I enjoy the wild, unpredictable nature of werewolves, and the transformation scenes always add extra excitement. When they’re done well, they feel more intense and thrilling than vampire films.
Asaba replied to the topic "Twilight Movie" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
I’ve seen Twilight. It’s more of a romance with vampires and werewolves than a horror movie, but I still found it entertaining. I would say give the first one a try and see if you love it.
Asaba replied to the topic "How many Horror movies do you watch in a year?" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
I don’t really count them, but I probably watch around 15 to 20 horror movies a year. I just watch whatever catches my interest.
Asaba replied to the topic "How many Horror Facebook Groups have you joined?" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
I’m in a few horror groups. Horror Movie Fans, Horror Movies & TV Shows, and Horror Collectors are among my favorites. Most members use spoiler warnings, but I still avoid discussions about brand-new releases until I’ve watched them.
Asaba replied to the topic "Do you want a "the last of us" movie or series?" – 3 weeks, 6 days ago
The TV show has done an amazing job, but I would still love to see a movie. A film with a fresh story or different characters could work really well alongside the series.
Bawon replied to the topic "Horror Bloopers!" – 1 month ago
I would definitely watch that. Seeing the cast laugh and mess up after such intense scenes would be a funny way to end a horror movie and lighten the mood.
Bawon replied to the topic "Which Chase Scene is most epic?" – 1 month ago
For me, it’s the chase scenes in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. They felt raw, chaotic, and genuinely terrifying, which made them unforgettable.
Bawon replied to the topic "Better to show or hide the monster?" – 1 month ago
I like when the monster is revealed slowly. It builds suspense much better. Alien handled that perfectly with the way it kept me on edge for most of the movie.
Bawon replied to the topic "Horror Books" – 1 month ago
That’s impressive and congrats to your sister. I usually enjoy psychological horror the most. Shirley Jackson is one of my favorites because her stories rely on atmosphere more than jump scares.
